Refund Policy
Last updated: June 25, 2026
SafeDate ID is a digital service delivered immediately on purchase ($5 per mutual identity verification session, operated through our partner Didit). By completing payment you expressly request immediate performance of the service and acknowledge that you waive any statutory withdrawal/cooling-off right from the moment verification is launched, to the extent permitted by your local consumer law.
1. No refund once verification has started
As soon as you click "Verify my identity" and the Didit session is created, the service is deemed delivered and the $5 fee becomes non-refundable. This includes cases where you abandon the flow, fail verification, submit an invalid document, or change your mind.
2. Full refund if your match never verifies
If your match does not complete their own verification within 14 calendar days of your payment, you can request a full refund of the $5. The request must be sent by email within 30 days of payment, from the address used at checkout, including the Stripe session ID. Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days to the original payment method.
3. Technical failure on our side
If a technical failure attributable to SafeDate ID prevents the verification session from being created entirely (payment captured but no Didit link generated), a full refund is issued automatically or on request.
4. Duplicate payments
Any accidental duplicate charge for the same session is refunded in full on request.
5. Fraud, abuse, chargebacks
No refund is due in cases of fraudulent use, attempts to bypass the service, breach of our Terms of Service, or sharing the verification link with unauthorized third parties. Abusive chargebacks may result in permanent suspension.
How to request a refund
Email info@safedateid.com with: (1) the email used at checkout, (2) the Stripe session ID (starts with cs_), (3) the reason. We reply within 72 business hours.
